  • 20-24 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Required days: Wednesdays: 9:00am-5:00pm, Thursdays: 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Placements available September through June

Program Description

West County Child and Adolescent Services (WCCAS) is a Children and Adolescent outpatient mental health clinic located in San Pablo but serves the entire West Contra Costa County children and youth between the ages of 5 and 19 and their families. WCCAS works with a population rich in diversity including racial, ethnic, gender and sexual orientation and we value this diversity in our own workforce as well as in our practices and training.

Clinical services include conducting bio-psychosocial-developmental intakes including DSM Five diagnoses, individual, family and group therapy, crisis intervention, psychiatric support/medication management, school and community outreach, consultation and case management services. WCCAS works from a strength based, culturally and trauma informed, team-oriented perspective and clinical services include wrap-around care including family partners and mentors and other family and parent support services that serve the youth within the context of family and community. Services are primarily clinic and school based, but may also include some home-based service provision, if appropriate. Training in DBT, Play therapy, Family and other trauma informed approaches such as TF-CBT and dynamic, developmental, dyadic, group therapy are available, depending on interest.
