- Please do not flush medications of any kind down the toilet or any other drain. Medications flushed down drains can pollute our waterways.

- Where can I dispose of Treated Wood Waste (TWW) such as railroad ties and pressure treated wood? Updated 3/18/2021
- TWW is considered a hazardous waste and must be disposed of properly. The previous exemption that allowed some landfills to accept TWW expired at the beginning of the year (January 1, 2021). Legislation has been proposed to extend the alternative management standards that expired; however, in the interim, landfills and transfer stations can apply to the State for a variance.
- The following landfills currently have a variance. Please contact the landfill before taking TWW to them for disposal. Specific rules for commercial and residential TWW disposal will apply.
